The world's largest flooring manufacturer, Mohawk Industries, has reported second-quarter 2026 results that significantly exceeded expectations. Net sales rose 6.8% to USD 3.0 billion (approx. EUR 2.63 billion), with adjusted earnings per share of USD 3.67. CEO Jeff Lorberbaum cited volume growth, pricing measures and an improved product mix as key drivers, alongside tariff refunds of approximately USD 0.63 per share.
The Flooring Rest of the World segment – which includes the European business – grew 9.7% and achieved an adjusted operating margin of 12.0%. The commercial sector continues to outperform the residential market. For the flooring and carpet segment, conditions remain challenging: the residential property market is hovering near multi-decade lows worldwide, and the existing homes market continues to be affected by affordability pressures.
