Artisan Project: Natural wool textures

The inspiration behind Artisan Project‘s Shepherd‘s Rug was Nina Mohammad-Galbert‘s love of the array of natural wool textures and shades. “Rather than contrive a pattern, I wanted the wool to create the story in the carpet,” says the creative director of the company, which is located in Fez, Morocco, and also offers bespoke collections. The rugs are handmade by women‘s weaving cooperatives.
