Reza Rejaye sells Rezas to Inbogulve

Reza Rejaye is handing over the wholesale business he founded 35 years ago, Rezas Oriental & Modern Rugs ApS in Odense, Denmark: from 1 January 2027, Danish trading organisation Inbogulve amba will take over its operations. Rejaye is stepping down as owner but will support the transition as a consultant. Buyer Inbogulve amba is the parent company of the Garant chain, a cooperative of 65 independently owned stores that trade under a shared brand and pool their purchasing while remaining under their own ownership. This makes Garant Denmark's largest retail cooperative in its core categories of carpets, tiles, flooring and curtains.

The deal covers stock worth around DKK 20 million (approximately €2.7 million), IT systems and contracts, along with 16 employees, all of whom will transfer to the new ownership; the purchase price has not been disclosed. Jesper Andersen continues as deputy director, and the company will operate going forward as Rezas Oriental & Modern Rugs A/S, remaining at its current site in Odense.

For Inbogulve, the acquisition also brings access to Rezas' international customer network: around 75 per cent of the wholesaler's revenue is generated outside Denmark, with customers in 24 countries supplied with hand-knotted oriental rugs, modern machine-woven carpets and custom-made pieces.

Inbogulve chief executive Peter Rønn said: "We are strengthening our foundation while also beginning to look further afield. Rezas fits extremely well with our business, both in terms of product range and company culture. We gain access to capabilities, relationships, and international sales channels that would take many years to build on our own."
