Deutsche Messe AG expects 25 million Euro loss

According to a NDR report, Deutsche Messe AG (Domotex, Ligna) forecasts a loss of around 25 million Euros for the current financial year. The company cites the ongoing difficult economic situation and noticeable restraint among exhibitors as the primary reasons. Furthermore, fewer trade fairs are traditionally scheduled to take place in Hannover this year due to the event cycle. In the previous financial year, the exhibition company had still recorded a profit of nearly 18 million Euros. To respond to these changing conditions, the company plans a strategic restructuring. Part of these considerations includes concrete plans to reduce the size of the exhibition grounds in Hannover, although the exact scale remains undecided.
