Flanders Flooring Days draw mixed anniversary results

The Flanders Flooring Days (18–21 May 2026) concluded their fifth edition with a solid yet nuanced overall result. The editorial team of Carpet Home and its sister publication BTH Heimtex was on site across all four show days to gather insights on current innovations within the central exhibition hall at Kortrijk Xpo as well as the 18 regional showrooms of participating carpet and floor covering manufacturers. More than 100 brands presented themselves in total, including industry majors such as Balta Home, Ragolle, Rezas, Osta and Verbatex. Discussions frequently highlighted that the footfall of trade visitors from Germany in particular remained weak this year. Furthermore, the new concept for the traditional evening event held directly inside the exhibition hall met with mixed reviews from guests. In response to the changing market conditions, the participating companies are now considering structural adjustments, with a transition to a biennial cycle being under discussion.
