Following its insolvency in 2025, Carpetright is returning to the Dutch market with a radically restructured business model. The brand will henceforth operate without physical stores, functioning as a pure-play online retailer focused on professional in-home consultancy. This relaunch of Carpetright IP BV is led by former executives Gideon Tienkamp and Maikel Hofman, supported by the new investor De Verfzaak, a well-known paint and wallpaper retailer. By eliminating 75 retail leases, the company is now significantly smaller and leaner, targeting a first-year turnover of 6 million Euros – a fraction of its former volume, but on a profitable footing. Managing Director Gideon Tienkamp stated that the concept is inspired by the success of the window coverings specialist Veneta. With the launch of the new website on 2 April, Carpetright is now focusing entirely on digital marketing and the expertise of returning specialist staff.
