The Scandinavian interior retail chain Jysk is significantly expanding its market presence in the Netherlands by acquiring five former Leen Bakker stores. The locations in Amsterdam, Leek, Veendam, Zierikzee, and Meppel will be completely converted to reflect the latest Jysk store concept. While the first four of these branches open simultaneously on 15 April, the Meppel site will follow in May. This wave of expansion is further bolstered by a brand-new store in Barneveld, set to open in June. Frank Christant, Country Director for Jysk in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France, considers these six new openings a strategic move to leverage market opportunities following extensive network investments. Upon completion, the Dutch network will reach 110 stores, with a long-term target of at least 140 locations.
