Short staple fiber spinning: Rieter with increase in sales

Rieter, the Swiss specialist in systems for short staple fiber spinning, reports a 22.2% increase in sales to 758.2 million CHF (778.4 million EUR) for the first half of 2023, while profit (EBIT) rose to 25.2 CHF, following a loss of -10.2 million CHF in the same period of the previous year. On the other hand, order intake weakened significantly with a minus of 62.6% in the first half of 2023. Order intake in almost all regions was characterised by a reluctance to invest in new machines.
