Carpet Home IV/2022 is published

The autumn issue of Carpet Home is published and full of topics that are currently moving the rug industry. For the cover story, we spoke intensively with the organisers of Domotex and tell what the trade can expect at the world's leading trade fair for floor coverings. In January 2023, when the fair takes place for the 33rd time, three years will have passed since its last edition in Hanover. Three years in which a great deal has changed - also for the carpet trade. The pandemic has triggered a boom in online trade, shaken up supply chains and triggered a new awareness for a beautiful home. The current high inflation and the trend towards more environmentally conscious consumption have also changed purchasing behaviour. In this context, the importance of Domotex as a sourcing platform and source of inspiration should not be underestimated.

In the interview of the month, we talk to Fritz Langauer and Christoph Ziereis. The managing directors of the Austrian importer Oritop are specialists for Afghan rugs and know the country and the product from decades of experience. We talked to both of them about the current situation for the company and the weavers in the country. We also take a first look at Oritop's new rug collections, which combine modern design and the art of Afghan knotting in a new way.
