Change of leadership at Ikea Germany

Walter Kadnar will become the new Country Retail Manager & CSO Ikea Germany starting 1 October 2022. He takes over the position from Dennis Balslev, who will be Deputy Core Business Franchise Manager for the Inter Ikea Group in the future. 

Dennis Balslev, a Dane, has led Ikea Germany's operations since the beginning of 2018, contributing significantly to growth, the development of the omnichannel agenda and stability during the Corona pandemic, according to a press release. 

Walter Kadnar brings extensive experience from various areas of the Swedish furniture group. Born in Austria, he has worked for Ikea in Austria, France, Germany, Poland and Russia since 1988. Most recently, he held the position of Country Retail Manager & CSO for Ikea France from 2017 until today.
