Salone del Mobile in September as a hybrid event

Initially, the Salone del Mobile furniture fair was supposed to take place in its usual form this September, now the organisers have decided to stage a hybrid event instead. A digital platform (Salone del Mobile.Milano), which is to go online as early as June, will show new products in virtual spaces and thematic pathways. From 5 to 10 September, an on-site alternative event, developed with young international architects, will take place in Rho. Several showrooms in the city will also be presenting current furniture design. And for the first time, Rho will welcome consumers as well as trade visitors. The exhibits will be available for purchase; the proceeds will go to charity.

The next Salone del Mobile to take place in its usual form will be in April 2022 as the 60th edition of the design fair.
