Homefashion Group: Albert Voogd succeeds Debbie Klein

Debbie Klein had been CEO of Leen Bakker since 2018 and additionally took over the management of Kwantum in 2020. Albert Voogd has 30 years of experience in retail. Homefashion Group is active in the Benelux with 276 brick-and-mortar shops and four online shops.

Deutsche Messe 2022 above plan

Kortrijk: Design Nation to replace Biennale Interieur

The trade fair organiser Kortrijk Xpo has developed Design Nation, a trade fair format that is to replace the Biennale Interieur. The new fair is to take place from 19.10.2023 to 20.10.2023. In other words, only two days instead of the ten days that were previously usual. In this way, the organisers want to make the fair more efficient for the exhibitors. The exhibited product categories include furniture, beds, lighting, floor coverings, rugs and textiles.

Domotex Hannover to remain annual, no further spin-offs planned

Frankfurt consumer-goods fairs draw positive conclusions

The leading international consumer-goods fairs Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld were held together for the first time in Frankfurt from 3/4 to 7 February 2023. 4,561 exhibitors occupied the entire Frankfurt exhibition centre on 352,950 gross square metres and presented their new products to 154,000 trade visitors from all over the world. Participants from more than 170 nations enjoyed the personal encounter. In addition to the merging of living worlds, the top theme of sustainability moved into focus.

Poco expands in eastern Germany

Germany's largest discount supplier for furnishing and renovation is expanding in eastern Germany and coming to Gera, a city with 92,000 inhabitants: Poco is expected to open its 127th furnishing store there in the summer. Domotex Turkey in July

Domotex Asia 2023 postponed to July

Domotex Asia/China Floor 2023 will be moved back two months in the trade fair calendar. Instead of 29 to 31 May as previously planned, the event will now take place from 26 to 28 July. The Chinese floor coverings fair will also return to Shanghai on the new date.
