AKO - Kolckmann: Safety outdoors

The company AKO Kolckmann has developed a non-slip, weather-resistant covering called AKO Unico that is specially made for use outdoors in the home and semi-public areas. Designed for a temperature range of -25°C up to 60°C, the product ensures sure-footed walking on terraces, balconies and entrance areas year-round.

“Made in Germany” quality: this long-established family firm is known as a specialist in carpet and tablecloth underlays and safety and sports mats, and manufactures its products exclusively in the town of Alfdorf in the the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The AKO Unico covering is made of PES/glass yarn fabric with a surface of PVC granulate, and meets class R13 slip resistance standards and class Bfl-S1 fire protection standards.

This outdoor covering product comes in five trendy colours – stone, basalt, graphite, sand and lava – and is produced in 10m rolls that are 1.20 cm wide and easily cut to fit any desired length. The company also sells angled stair mats with dimensions of 30 x 73 cm. A wooden display holding 12 rolls is available for retailers with dimensions of 120 x 250 cm.
