Kibek: new store concept now in Bremen too

Following a three-month renovation, Kibek has reopened its Bremen-Brinkum store with the same Store Concept 2.0 already familiar from Hanau and Elmshorn. Across 14,500 square metres of retail space, lighting, flooring and wall layout were completely renewed; around 3,000 square metres of new walls double as display surfaces and divide the sales floor into individual bays. Managing director Lisa Sachau described the new concept as combining in-store shopping with the clarity and ease of online browsing. The reopening event was also attended by Stuhr's mayor Stephan Korte and economic development officer Peer Beyersdorff.

The product range at the company's second-largest store includes carpets, carpet, laminate and vinyl flooring, lighting, décor and home textiles, with around 40 staff working on site. The renovated store in Berlin-Spandau, converted in parallel, will follow in two weeks' time; according to the company, the new store concept is to be rolled out to the remaining ten Kibek stores within three years.
